Being asked to prom!

Okay, so now that I have time to blog, I should probably backtrack and talk about some things I missed. One of them is prom. Prom was so much fun! One of the best dances ever! Well…to start at the beginning. I was coming home from school one day and I was driving Jordan home. I asked him who he was thinking about taking to prom with him, and he said that he didn’t want to tell me, and that it was going to be a surprise. I pressured a little more, and he finally said that he was thinking about taking a girl that lived in Farmington. We talked about her for a little while, and then he had to go inside, so I left his house and I went home. I walked inside the door and there was an Easter basket and it was full of plastic eggs that all. I opened each of them, and every once in while there would be a little letter mixed in with the candy. After a lot of struggling with the letters, I finally got the name, Tim Hulse. Jessie had come over to the house to help me figure out the name, and we were both a little surprised…He is a nice guy for what I know of him, but I had only talked to him like once in my entire high school years, so we were shocked that he would even know what my name was let alone ask me to prom. Well I didn’t really know what to do, but I had to tell someone I was asked to prom, so I texted Jordan and told him that I was asked and he questioned who it was. I told him Tim Hulse, and he said that he was surprised because he didn’t know that we were friends. I told him we weren’t and that I didn’t know really what to do. He said that I would get my answer, and that I should sleep on it. So I went to work (I worked a five to close that night) so while I was at work (it was a busy Friday night) a guy came in and handed me a little scroll and said that a guy outside had told him to give it to a girl named Caralee, and he saw my nametag. I took it, and it was a pirate themed poem that after a long deciphering process sent me to my car. It was really busy though at work, so I couldn’t go to my car until we closed…at eleven. So when I went out to my car, nothing was attached. I had all three crew members searching that thing, and we couldn’t find it anywhere! So there was a little number at the bottom of poem that said if there was a problem to text the number. So I did, but there was no reply. I started freaking out because I thought that maybe it had flown off the car because it had been extremely windy that night. The number on the page wasn’t replying, so I texted Jordan. He just laughed and couldn’t believe that I was being asked a second time, and he said that I should text the help number if there was one. I told him I did already and it wasn’t replying, and he said that it was too bad and good luck. Well then the help number replied and sure enough there was a key attached to my car that said it would open a box that was like 20 paces from my mailbox. Well it was now like 11:40 and we hadn’t even started cleaning up cold stone. So we hurried and got out of the place, and I went home to find a locked box. I took it inside through the garage, and when I opened it there was a note saying to look at the entrance of the house. I searched the porch forever until I got frustrated and went back to the table. In VERY small print on the bottom of the paper it said ‘not at that entrance, try another’ I started laughing, and sure enough there was a basket full of cupcakes that had letters in each one. Well, I had to go and take out the letters and unscramble them. By this point I was pretty sure it was either Jordan or Brandon, so as I was going through each letter, of course I had never realized before that the J and the B are the only letters that are different in their names. Well, the very LAST letter I got was a J, so it was Jordan! :-) I was so excited, but now I had to say no to someone…although Tim had asked me first I thought that it was a little risky going with a guy that I don’t know very well, even if he was nice. So I politely said no, and then I had to find a way to answer Jordan. I decided that since it was right around Easter that I would hollow out eggs, decorate them, then put letters in them so that it was a scavenger hunt from one egg to the other until he found a basket with D E F I N I T A L Y written on ten hard boiled eggs with white crayon. He dyed them, then unscrambled! :-) It took him almost an hour to complete the whole thing, but he figured it out! That was the exciting asking process. It turned out really long, so I will have to write about actual prom later.

First Day of College!

Okay.....so I know I am terrible at blogging, I say that every time I write one, but I think that will all soon change. Right now I am sitting in my new living room, and I am extremely bored....haha! With all the free time I have, I really think that I should have an exciting blog now! Well I moved in to apartment 502 yesterday, and things are looking alright. My roommates are good...all of them are from California, I feel a little out of place. They are really friendly, but they all have lives, unlike me, so I don’t feel like we are going to get very close. It’s a little weird to be here…I don’t fit in yet, and I don’t know how long it will take until I do, but hopefully soon! Everyone thinks that I am EXTREMELY little, which makes sense because I have a three years age gap with the next youngest.
My first day here turned out alright. We left Kaysville around 9:00 and ended up in Rexburg around 11:30. Unpacking was a nightmare, but I was able to successfully manage it. I didn’t have any cupboard space, or refrigerator space, so I have lots of food in my closet. Haha. I think my roommate thinks I eat a lot…oh well. After I finished unpacking, I realized that it was about two thirty, and I had nothing to do. I am going to get very bored if I have to do this every day. No class and no job. I’m hoping I will find a job soon, if not then I will be starting school in July, but that’s still a solid month of not doing anything… Well, to continue with my day, I sat around for a little while talking to one of my roommates who was doing homework, then I remembered that Brad had asked me if I could make dinner for him at the dinner group, because he had to work until 5:30 and dinner was at 6. I had told him earlier no because I thought I would still be unpacking, but I was so bored, I decided that I could take his turn to cook for the dinner group. I texted him I would, and then he broke the news to me that there were 10 people in the dinner group…yeah, I was a little concerned. Never cooked for that many people before, but I took the challenge! I went to the store, got a lot more noodles and sauce, and prepared the easiest meal, spaghetti. :-) It went over alright, we had a lot of extra food which was good, but I have a lot of practicing to do with the whole cooking thing…. After that Brad and I went and got a snow cone. They were surprisingly good…. After that I came back to my apartment and my roommates were going to go play wallyball and they invited me to come along. I agreed, so they snuck me in. (I don’t have an I card, so I’m technically not suppose to be playing, but they put me in a gray shirt, and no one knew the difference) Lets just say I am terrible at wallyball… they laughed at me a little, but it was still fun. After that we came home and it was already like 11:00 ish. So we stayed up and talked forever. That was basically my day. Pretty eventful, but I don’t think it will be that eventful every night. So, that was my first day of college!
