Being asked to prom!

Okay, so now that I have time to blog, I should probably backtrack and talk about some things I missed. One of them is prom. Prom was so much fun! One of the best dances ever! Well…to start at the beginning. I was coming home from school one day and I was driving Jordan home. I asked him who he was thinking about taking to prom with him, and he said that he didn’t want to tell me, and that it was going to be a surprise. I pressured a little more, and he finally said that he was thinking about taking a girl that lived in Farmington. We talked about her for a little while, and then he had to go inside, so I left his house and I went home. I walked inside the door and there was an Easter basket and it was full of plastic eggs that all. I opened each of them, and every once in while there would be a little letter mixed in with the candy. After a lot of struggling with the letters, I finally got the name, Tim Hulse. Jessie had come over to the house to help me figure out the name, and we were both a little surprised…He is a nice guy for what I know of him, but I had only talked to him like once in my entire high school years, so we were shocked that he would even know what my name was let alone ask me to prom. Well I didn’t really know what to do, but I had to tell someone I was asked to prom, so I texted Jordan and told him that I was asked and he questioned who it was. I told him Tim Hulse, and he said that he was surprised because he didn’t know that we were friends. I told him we weren’t and that I didn’t know really what to do. He said that I would get my answer, and that I should sleep on it. So I went to work (I worked a five to close that night) so while I was at work (it was a busy Friday night) a guy came in and handed me a little scroll and said that a guy outside had told him to give it to a girl named Caralee, and he saw my nametag. I took it, and it was a pirate themed poem that after a long deciphering process sent me to my car. It was really busy though at work, so I couldn’t go to my car until we closed…at eleven. So when I went out to my car, nothing was attached. I had all three crew members searching that thing, and we couldn’t find it anywhere! So there was a little number at the bottom of poem that said if there was a problem to text the number. So I did, but there was no reply. I started freaking out because I thought that maybe it had flown off the car because it had been extremely windy that night. The number on the page wasn’t replying, so I texted Jordan. He just laughed and couldn’t believe that I was being asked a second time, and he said that I should text the help number if there was one. I told him I did already and it wasn’t replying, and he said that it was too bad and good luck. Well then the help number replied and sure enough there was a key attached to my car that said it would open a box that was like 20 paces from my mailbox. Well it was now like 11:40 and we hadn’t even started cleaning up cold stone. So we hurried and got out of the place, and I went home to find a locked box. I took it inside through the garage, and when I opened it there was a note saying to look at the entrance of the house. I searched the porch forever until I got frustrated and went back to the table. In VERY small print on the bottom of the paper it said ‘not at that entrance, try another’ I started laughing, and sure enough there was a basket full of cupcakes that had letters in each one. Well, I had to go and take out the letters and unscramble them. By this point I was pretty sure it was either Jordan or Brandon, so as I was going through each letter, of course I had never realized before that the J and the B are the only letters that are different in their names. Well, the very LAST letter I got was a J, so it was Jordan! :-) I was so excited, but now I had to say no to someone…although Tim had asked me first I thought that it was a little risky going with a guy that I don’t know very well, even if he was nice. So I politely said no, and then I had to find a way to answer Jordan. I decided that since it was right around Easter that I would hollow out eggs, decorate them, then put letters in them so that it was a scavenger hunt from one egg to the other until he found a basket with D E F I N I T A L Y written on ten hard boiled eggs with white crayon. He dyed them, then unscrambled! :-) It took him almost an hour to complete the whole thing, but he figured it out! That was the exciting asking process. It turned out really long, so I will have to write about actual prom later.

First Day of College!

Okay.....so I know I am terrible at blogging, I say that every time I write one, but I think that will all soon change. Right now I am sitting in my new living room, and I am extremely bored....haha! With all the free time I have, I really think that I should have an exciting blog now! Well I moved in to apartment 502 yesterday, and things are looking alright. My roommates are good...all of them are from California, I feel a little out of place. They are really friendly, but they all have lives, unlike me, so I don’t feel like we are going to get very close. It’s a little weird to be here…I don’t fit in yet, and I don’t know how long it will take until I do, but hopefully soon! Everyone thinks that I am EXTREMELY little, which makes sense because I have a three years age gap with the next youngest.
My first day here turned out alright. We left Kaysville around 9:00 and ended up in Rexburg around 11:30. Unpacking was a nightmare, but I was able to successfully manage it. I didn’t have any cupboard space, or refrigerator space, so I have lots of food in my closet. Haha. I think my roommate thinks I eat a lot…oh well. After I finished unpacking, I realized that it was about two thirty, and I had nothing to do. I am going to get very bored if I have to do this every day. No class and no job. I’m hoping I will find a job soon, if not then I will be starting school in July, but that’s still a solid month of not doing anything… Well, to continue with my day, I sat around for a little while talking to one of my roommates who was doing homework, then I remembered that Brad had asked me if I could make dinner for him at the dinner group, because he had to work until 5:30 and dinner was at 6. I had told him earlier no because I thought I would still be unpacking, but I was so bored, I decided that I could take his turn to cook for the dinner group. I texted him I would, and then he broke the news to me that there were 10 people in the dinner group…yeah, I was a little concerned. Never cooked for that many people before, but I took the challenge! I went to the store, got a lot more noodles and sauce, and prepared the easiest meal, spaghetti. :-) It went over alright, we had a lot of extra food which was good, but I have a lot of practicing to do with the whole cooking thing…. After that Brad and I went and got a snow cone. They were surprisingly good…. After that I came back to my apartment and my roommates were going to go play wallyball and they invited me to come along. I agreed, so they snuck me in. (I don’t have an I card, so I’m technically not suppose to be playing, but they put me in a gray shirt, and no one knew the difference) Lets just say I am terrible at wallyball… they laughed at me a little, but it was still fun. After that we came home and it was already like 11:00 ish. So we stayed up and talked forever. That was basically my day. Pretty eventful, but I don’t think it will be that eventful every night. So, that was my first day of college!

Homecoming!

Alright, so I had to prove Caetie wrong and post pictures and write about homecoming. Homecoming was so much fun! On Friday night Brandon had to work until 7:30 (he works at a pizza place) so before the homecoming game I went to visit him and get a pizza. I was there a little bit until around 6:30 and he said he would meet me at the game, so I went over to the high school. Definitaly a packed game, since it is the biggest game of the year, but i found my friends and struggled to fit in the crowd. Brandon found us a little bit before half time. We watched and when half time came i got a call from one of my friends from Layton. That was the team we were playing. I told him that we would come visit him, so Brandon and I went over to the other side to say hello. Just a tip, never go to the other teams side when you are in brown and gold and they are in blue and white. Its a little obvious who's side you are on. After we said hello, and I got hit in the head with an inflatable stick (Yeah, i know, depressing, but brandon saved me from getting hit with an actual stick so it was okay, haha) we decided to head back. Well it would have definitaly been a challenge to get back to where we were sitting, so instead we decided to go to cold stone and get some ice cream. :-) I know, good plan right? Well our friends still think that we sat on the Laytons side for the whole time, but little do they know. well we went to cold stone and got some ice cream there, and that was fun. We went and ate it outside of krispy kremes though because it was pretty packed. After a few phone calls we decided that the game was probably almost over and we should head back so that it didnt look suspicious. we got there right as the game was letting out. :-) good timing on our part!! well after a little struggle to keep our story straight, we figured out the score was 26-6, so we won! :-) Afterward our friends really wanted to get ice cream, which i thought was ironic, but we were able to keep them away from cold stone and just give them the left over pizza that was in my car. After that we just talked about our plans for the next day and went home so we could all get some rest for the long day coming. So then on Saturday, Brandon came and picked me up at 10:00 (in his red manual Mazda 6 might I add) and we met at the park until all the other groups got there. From then on we started off on our journey. We went up to Salt lake and got to a place called ensign peak. We hiked up the small (small, but steep!) mountain. It had a great view of the valley, we saw it, then came back down. haha, pretty eventful. haha, well then after we did that, there was a park just around the corner, so we went there, played some games, and had a picnic. it was a lot of fun! well watching 16 teenagers play flag football is just comical. but still, fun. :-) After quite a few more games we decided that it was about time to get home so that the girls had plenty of time to get ready. i went home, rushed to get the boutineer, hurried to my hair appointment, came home, changed into my dress, made sure everything looked perfect, waited for like 20 min, took some pictures, and then he came. :-) we took some more pictures, and then we were off. We went to a place by his house where there is a house they take wedding reception pictures at. It was an awesome place for group pictures! afterwards, we were off to the dance. we went to the dance, and it was so much fun. while we were there it was really crowded so we decided it would be nice to go outside and get some fresh air. it turned into us dancing by his car to the music on his ipod (hes a big fan of micheal buble, so now 'save the last dance' is like my favorite song) well, very suddenly (really it came on so quickly) it started to rain, so we were dancing in the rain, cute! after a little bit, we were pretty wet, we realized how thirsty we were, so we made a quick trip, in the pouring rain, to 7-11 for slurpees. haha, can you imagine two teenagers, in formal wear, at 7-11, dripping wet, getting slurpees? haha, the people working there looked at us like we were crazy. well we got them, and headed back to the school. after a little more dancing outside, we decided we should probably go back in. it took us a while, but we found some friends dancing inside. they were confused, you could tell, on why we were so wet, but nobody asked any questions. they didnt even know it was raining. we were there a little longer, went back outside, danced a little out there, and then the dance was done. it was a blast! Brandon had to be home by midnight, so he took me home and he left. I went inside and changed and went to jordans house where the rest of our group was watching madagascar 2 and was there until it was over which was around 2. it was such a fun night!!! hope everyone enjoys the pictures!!! :-)

:-D Current life!

Haha, okay, so I think that we all know that I am terrible at posting!! haha, I am sorry, but I dont think that I will be getting better any time soon....I am pretty busy! :-) Well things are going really well! School just started, and its evil....yes school is evil, just be glad that you have all graduated high school! :-) I am taking AP BC Calculus for 2 class periods, AP Stats, AP Psychology, English, Seminary, Social Dance, and Theater 4. A lot of homework, and a lot of studying, but I am doing alright. I have some friends in my classes, which makes them a whole lot better (might not get as much done, but they are sure more fun!!!) Work is also going alright. I am hardly getting any hours because school started and I have so much homework, but its okay, I dont really mind. Umm....I am now trying to think of exciting things that you guys wouldnt already know. I was asked to homecoming, I am thrilled!!! It should be the best night ever! I am going with Brandon Cluff. He is the one I went to the Christmas Dance if anyone remembers him? Yeah, we are really close, and it should be awesome!! Its also on my 17th birthday, could it be any better? I mean, what better way to celebrate my birthday? I am getting old. :-) haha You guys are all shocked I bet! :-) It was adorable how he asked. He took my favorite flower (pink roses) and gave me one in each class period with a poem. Well by the end of the day I had 10 beautiful pink roses...but no name of who it was. Well I already knew, but there was still no name, so I waited. He gave me the roses on a friday, and i had to wait until Saturday night (well more like Sunday morning, because i didnt get home from work until 1:00) when my room was decorated with balloons and streamers and each balloon had a little piece of paper in it that i had to pop to read. Do you know how difficult it is to pop balloons at 1:00 in the morning without waking anyone up? pretty difficult...haha. :-) well I finally got through all the balloons, and it was him! It was awesome. I still have to get a dress and all the fun stuff like that, but I couldnt be happier about it. Other then that not much is really going on. Mom and Dad have been gone at Carleens and Brandons house for the weekend, so I have basically been a loner. :-( Its not too terrible, and they should be home later tonight. Other then that not much has really been going on. I got a new phone, that was a blast! An LG Dare. Coolest phone in the whole world! Well I should probably go do my homework. This post was bascially just a way to procrastinate it....:-( But I love you guys and I will talk to you all later!!!

Not much....

Hello everyone! not much is really going on right now. I know that I dont update much, but what do I really have to say? Well, let me think. Since my last post I have gone to the christmas dance, that was a blast. I went with my friend Brandon Cluff. If you havent seen the pictures yet you should really go onto my facebook and look at them all. They are adorable!!! they really did turn out amazing! mom made my dress and everything. Well, we had christmas, and valentines day. :-( that was a bummer day. it is rather sad when you dont have anyone, but Brent, Kari, and Alexis came up for it, and that was a blast. I also was with my friend Jessie for the day, and so we had a good time. Ummm....I cant really think much of whats happening. School is going alright. I have a ton of homework and tests, and it takes up all of my time. The only way I even have the time to write this is because we dont have school in the morning, I just have a staff meeting early in the morning. Speaking of work, it is going well. I am a shift leader, and able to do everything in the store. Well thats my life for now. I guess I will talk to everyone later!!!

I'm a little slow...

Alright!! I know that everyone thinks I am a horrible person for not writting on my blog, but think about it, i am a 16 year old! Haha, I don't exactly have a life!! Well I don't exactly know where to start. Everyone tried to call on my 16th birthday. Thanks everyone! I was at a Davis game, so I knew that no one would be able to hear me, so i just didn't answer. Well that day mom and dad gave me a new neon pink video nano because my other ipod broke. Thanks mom and dad!! yeah, i was shocked for with that one. Well, when we got back from the game two of my friends came over and we had birthdays cake, yea, and then only one could stay the night. Well the next morning At around 12 my friend Jordan called and asked if I wanted to go on a date a little later, so at 2 he picked me up and we went to Cafe Rio. After that we noticed a Petco and thought it would be fun to go window shopping for pets. after a little while there we decided to go to Lagoon for a little while, actually an hour, before i had to go to work. well the second we got in the car to drive over there it started to pour! Great timing! well it was okay, we got there and it was still raining, but i convinced him that it would be fun. we got out of the car and it stopped. :-) perfect. anyway so after we got in the park we rode three rides, one ride twice because we were the only two on the entire ride. then we realized i had to be to work in 20 minutes, so we hurried and got in the car, and it started pouring again. the joy of rain. anyway, so he got me home, he walked me to the door, and we turn around and saw a perfectly arched rainbow. It was so much fun. That night I closed at cold stone for the first time, and that was alright. Well that was my exciting birthday....hmm....let me think of something else that has happened to me lately. well i wasn't asked to homecoming, bummer, but i decided to ask a guy to the Halloween Dance. with the help of some family members, i asked a guy names Brock. Well little did I know that supposedly he had already been asked, bummer, so he said no. oh well. i decided to ask another guy named Spenser, and he said yes! Woo Hoo, so i am actually going this time! If you guys have any ideas, i have no clue what to be! Well, things are going alright other then that. you know, the typical stupid teenage drama, boring high school, and dumb friends, but its alright. Its life!! :-D I will upload some pictures of people so you can kinda get a feel of who my friends are and stuff! Thanks for reading!

This is my friend Jessie Dyer (on the left) and Erin Shepherd (on right) I don't really know Erin that well so that's why its not a very good picture of her, but Jessie is the funniest girl. She is sorta shy, but if you know her, very fun. She is WAY smart and an amazing ballet and jazz / hip-hop dancer. I hang out with her the most of all my friends.

Alright, so the one on the far left, that's Spenser Farnes. He is the one I am going to the Halloween Dance with. (It was the Davis Homecoming game so they were all decked out) He is definitely an interesting guy, but he is fun! Then Aubrey Hoggard, and you have heard about her. We don't talk as much anymore, but we are still friends. Then there is Jessie again. :-D Shes so cute. Then Jordan Peacock is on the end. He was my first date. And we are like best friends too. I have other friends, but they are the ones I talk the most about. Well I will talk to all you guys later!!

EFY

Alright, I know that this is really late coming, but school has been keeping me pretty busy. Things have been going alright. School really has made me busy though, work is fine, but the focus of this blog is EFY! Well EFY was really awesome. I had an amazing time. My friend Aubrey and I went together to Rexburg, Idaho. We went on Monday morning and Mom drove us up. We stayed in Chapman Hall. We met our roomates and our group the first day, including our counslors. It was a lot of fun. It was a really spiritual experience as well. Lots of classes and church topics. We learned a lot. Dances, meeting new people, everything was here. Like I said, the first day we focused on meeting our group, trying to get to know new names, had FHE, it was a blast. The second day we went to a lot of classes, well actually just 4 that were each an hour long, we then went to a dance that night that was just casual. Nobody really knew anyone that night so it was really fun to see everyone how they really were, not trying to impress anyone. Well on Wednesday we had more classes, but during these Aubrey and I meet two guys names Britt and Nate, and they were really cool. (Nates on my right and Britts on my left.) Well the four of us became really good friends, that night we also had time to try out for the talent show, and our entire group did. We did this really funny dance to everytime we touch by cascada. (If anyone has access to facebook, the video's on our groups page of Glory of the Moon, and you can see the entire group and more pictures) well after that we went and had pizza night with just the girls and that was way fun. On Thursday morning we had a YM/YW activity where we were separated into our separate groups and had different lessons, and that was way fun. It was the formal day so we were in dresses the whole time. Well we had made the talent show, so after that we went to the talent show and did our little dance which turned our really funny. After that the four of us (Aubrey, Nate, Britt, and I) decided that we wanted to do something so we went to thir lounge to play fooseball (sp?) but we realized that the place to rent the balls was closed, so we had to use the puck to the airhockey table and create a new game. The girls beat the guys, without a doubt, although all four of us did come out with bruises and cuts. It was worth it!! That night we had a testimony meeting and more devotionals. It was definitaly the best day at EFY. Then on Friday we had some more activities, but the main event was the service project. This year they decided to have groups of two make a hat that they could send to homeless kids, and kids that needed them, so as we were doing it Aubrey and I got in a race with Nate and Britt to see who could finish first, of coarse the girls won again, but not only did we win, but Nate and Britt managed to ruin their hat somehow so in the end, the four of us were the only ones left in the entire gym, not counting the counslors, and we had to finish their hat. It was way funny, but when their hat was finally finished after an extra 30 minutes, we realized that we had like 10 minutes to get ready for the final dance and banquet. We hurried and left and made it to the banquet just in time. After that we went back to our dorms, and left the next morning after lots of good-byes. We pretty much all keep in contact still though. We have a group on facebook called 'Glory of the Moon' because thats what our group was called. Look it up if you get a chance. Well that was my exciting experience of EFY!!!
